This position is located in Bend Oregon and will require applicants to be open to relocating to work onsite. Requirements

  • Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) credential, or equivalent (RVT, LVT), from an accredited veterinary technician program.
  • Proven track record of clinical leadership and or prior experience in an Oncology setting.
  • Must attain an OR CVT license within 45 days of starting the position.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the veterinary oncologist in delivering compassionate, high-quality care to patients undergoing cancer diagnosis and treatment.
  • Assists with diagnostic procedures, chemotherapy administration, anesthesia, patient monitoring, and client education.
  • Plays a critical role in ensuring that each patient receives timely and effective treatments.
  • Triages medical situations and follows directives from the veterinary team.
  • Ensures the oncology department operates at peak efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of compassionate care.
  • Refines workflows and invests in staff development to create a seamless journey for patients and a supportive environment for the team.
