Oncology Staff Nurse BWH
About The Position
The Oncology Staff Nurse provides care for a broad range of patients with hematological and solid-tumor cancer diagnoses at Brigham and Women's Hospital. The role includes patient and family education and support throughout admissions, and administering treatments such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, stem cell transplants, and CAR-T. Nurses collaborate with colleagues to provide excellent care in the safest environment. The position is part of the Hem/Onc Float Pool, scheduled for 36 hours per week on a variable night shift, with weekend rotation required under the MNA contract. Oncology nurses may participate in the BWH shared governance structure and contribute to improvements and new ideas. The BWH/DFCI Cancer Center also supports research studies and protocols.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Current registration in Massachusetts.
- For newly licensed nurses, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
- Able to work weekend rotation per the MNA contract.
Nice To Haves
- Prior hem/onc experience preferred.
- Prior Epic experience preferred.
- Membership in professional organizations is recommended.
- Certification in a specialty area is encouraged.
