About The Position
As one of the largest service lines at BWH, there has never been a more exciting and rewarding time to join the Oncology/Research team at BWH. As a BWH Oncology/Research nurse, you will have the chance to care for a broad-range of patients, as well as be trained to administer life-saving treatments including: Phase I Clinical Trials, Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Stem Cell Transplants, and CAR-T. As an Oncology/Research staff nurse, you will be able to participate in the BWH shared governance structure to help make improvements and foster new ideas. If you enjoy working with a strong supportive team on the frontlines of cancer treatment- BWH Oncology nursing would be a great fit! The Staff Nurse will be responsible for providing specialized care for first-in-human clinical trials, patients with hematological and solid-tumor cancer diagnoses, and investigator driven research. Providing patient and family education and support throughout their admission. Administering treatments including: Phase I Clinical Trials, Investigative Drugs / Treatments, Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Stem Cell Transplants, and CAR-T. Working collaboratively to provide excellent care to patients and families in the safest environment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts.
- For newly licensed nurses a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
- Able to work weekend rotation per the MNA contract.
Nice To Haves
- Oncology experience preferred.
- Clinical trial experience preferred.
- Epic experience preferred.
- Membership in professional organizations is recommended and certification in a specialty area is encouraged.
