About The Position
Saint Peter's is seeking a talented, compassionate Oncology RN to join its collaborative nursing team. The hospital has earned its seventh consecutive Magnet designation and its first Magnet with Distinction designation, recognizing exceptional nursing practices and patient outcomes. The role provides oncology nursing care, including patient assessment, carrying out procedures according to established standards, administering medications and parenteral therapies, and documenting patient care.
Requirements
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
- BLS certification approved by the American Heart Association is required.
- Complete an ECG course during clinical orientation.
- Complete national oncology certification during clinical orientation.
- Complete chemotherapy credentialing during clinical orientation.
Nice To Haves
- A BSN is preferred; otherwise, it must be obtained within three years of the hire date.
Responsibilities
- Contribute positively to the collaborative nursing team.
- Use assessment skills to determine assigned patients’ health status in accordance with Nursing Standards.
- Perform procedures according to established Standards of Care.
- Administer medications and parenteral therapies in accordance with policy.
- Document all aspects of patient care.
