About The Position

Provide clinical care within the context of a clinical research study. Assist with subject recruitment, eligibility, informed consent, and protocol adherence. Provides nursing care to patients participating in clinical research studies utilizing standard of care procedures. Implements nursing plan of care in connection with study protocol. Monitors research participants for changes in health status, including monitoring toxicities, assessing clinical response, and providing exemplary patient care while ensuring the protocol is conducted in a high-quality manner. Educates clinical staff and physicians regarding the study; updates clinical staff on study medications or changes in status and may administer study medications. Communicates research related information to patients, families, nursing and medical staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing required
  • Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Generic - HR Only required
  • Oncology Nursing experience 2+ years required
  • Clinical research trials nursing experience (including Screening and Enrolling patients for trial, AE grading, trial activation and drug management) 2+ years required.
  • Knowledge of research methodologies and statistical analysis.
  • Good communication and writing skills for publication and presentation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, ethical standards, and IRB processes.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, critical decision makings, and professional judgement skills.
