The PRN Oncology Registrar supports the University of Maryland Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center (GCC) Cancer Registry by performing cancer casefinding, abstracting, follow-up, quality assurance, data validation, and other registry-related activities. This is a fully remote position supporting multiple facilities within the UMMS Cancer Registry Network. Under general supervision, the Oncology Registrar independently reviews medical records to identify reportable cancer cases and accurately abstracts patient, diagnostic, staging, treatment, and outcomes data into the cancer registry database using current national and state reporting standards. The position plays an essential role in supporting cancer program accreditation, regulatory reporting, quality improvement, research, physician initiatives, and organizational decision-making. This position requires the ability to work independently while maintaining productivity, quality, communication, and confidentiality expectations in accordance with UMMS policies and GCC Cancer Registry departmental standards.
