About The Position
77 Consultants is seeking an Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a contract position at a dedicated medical practice in Bellflower. This role is on-site and offers a significant opportunity to impact oncology care. The NP or PA will be instrumental in assessing and managing patient care, creating treatment plans, and working with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care for cancer patients. Requirements
- Recent clinical experience in oncology is a must.
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record System: EPIC.
- Current Board Certification and BLS certification (American Heart Association).
Nice To Haves
- Proficiency in performing Bone Marrow Biopsies is preferred but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of oncology patients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with oncologists and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Provide patient education and support regarding cancer treatments
- Perform clinical procedures within your scope of practice
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records
- Stay updated on the latest oncology care guidelines and advancements
- Provide clinic-based coverage including follow-up appointments for established patients and evaluations for new patients at 3, 6, and 12-month intervals.
- Manage communications with ancillary services, ordering oncology-related diagnostic tests, and handling medication refills.
- Monitor ongoing treatment for patients and conduct pre-chemotherapy assessments.
- Engage with both inpatient and virtual patient consultations from the clinic.
