Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA)

Requirements
- Specialty: Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA)
- Board Certification in either Oncology or Hematology
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Valid licenses will be considered
Nice To Haves
- Experience in fluoroscopy is preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of oncology patients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results
- Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Performing blood draws
- IV insertions
- Hydration therapy
- Processing medication and chemotherapy orders
- Manage telephone inquiries from patients
- Provide assistance in the infusion center for patients requiring support
- Triage for infusion and emergency response needs
- Managing in-basket communications
