Requirements

  • Current Arizona or Compact State RN license with Arizona endorsement
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification required
  • Minimum of 3 years of oncology experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science (BSN) preferred
  • Care coordination, case management, navigation, or patient education preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for oncology patients and their families.
  • Guide patients through the cancer care continuum from diagnosis through treatment, survivorship, and follow-up care.
  • Assess patient, family, and caregiver needs, identifying barriers to care and developing plans to address them.
  • Coordinate appointments, diagnostic testing, treatments, and referrals to ensure timely access to services.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, symptom management, medications, and available resources.
  • Connect patients with community resources, support groups, financial assistance programs, and survivorship services.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives, accreditation requirements, and oncology program goals.
