About The Position

As an Oncology Nurse Coordinator, you will play a key role in guiding patients and their families through every step of their healthcare journey. Using the nursing process, you will assess, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans while proactively anticipating patient needs. Serving as the primary clinical contact, you will provide support, education, and guidance to patients, families, and caregivers, ensuring they feel confident and informed. In this role, you will coordinate multi-disciplinary and multi-site care, facilitate seamless communication among providers, and organize all necessary education and training for the care team. You will also be responsible for promoting an exceptional patient experience by delivering excellent customer service, managing concerns in a timely manner, and ensuring adherence to treatment plans through ongoing contact between visits. This is a full time, temporary-benefited positions with a starting hourly rate of $51.66 per hour, which includes a comprehensive benefits package. Requirements

License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or eligibility for certification.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in oncology nursing, medical-surgical nursing, or critical care; or
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting; or
Associate’s degree in Nursing and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in oncology nursing, medical-surgical nursing, or critical care; or
Associate’s degree in Nursing and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting.
Obtain and maintain applicable certification, as required by area of specialty and outlined in Departmental procedures, within thirty (30) months of appointment to this position and as a condition of continued employment.
Obtain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within six (6) months of their appointment to this title.
Complete twelve (12) cancer-related contact hours per calendar year unless certified by the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC).
Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.

Nice To Haves

Three or more years of oncology nursing experience.
Strong background in care coordination and customer service.
Nursing certification relevant to oncology and/or genetics, such as OCN or CGRN.
CITI Training certified.
