About The Position

To assist the Director of Pharmacy in the supervision of the department, training of new pharmacists, and assuring that all medications dispensed are in accordance with State and Federal regulations. This position looks for ways to optimize pharmacy’s operations while being part of an interdisciplinary Comprehensive Cancer Center. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Doctor of Pharmacy Program with current licensure as a pharmacist in state of practice.
  • Must have the ability to use the Pharmacy computer system at an acceptable level after having been instructed during the training period.
  • The Oncology IV Room Coordinator must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the disease and age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit.
  • The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the Pharmacy/IV Admixture Department and Cancer Center policies and procedures.
  • Most hours will be set hours during the week, but must be willing to accept “call back” when necessary.
