About The Position

Johnson & Johnson is hiring a full-time summer intern for its Global Medical Safety team in Oncology. The approximately 12-week internship is scheduled for May 10 through August 13, 2027. The role is part of the Global Oncology Internship Program, which gives undergraduate and graduate students experience in pharmaceutical research and development and an introduction to the science and processes of novel drug development. The intern will join a global, matrixed team supporting research and development of oncology therapeutics and clinical studies from Phase I to III. The position may involve collaboration across functions and participation in cross-functional trial teams. Interns receive mentorship and training in standard operating procedures, function-specific processes, systems, and tools, and can learn about disease states, diagnosis, treatments, and mechanisms of action for emerging medicines. The position follows a hybrid model for non-lab work: three days on site and two days remote per week. Interns may present work to project teams and the Oncology Senior Leadership Team, and must prepare and present their primary research project as a poster or abstract at the annual global summer intern research symposium. The program is intended for students who will remain enrolled throughout the internship and will not graduate before, during, or after the program dates.
