About The Position

Texas Oncology is seeking a full-time Oncology Clinic Nurse Manager (RN) to join their team, supporting the The Woodlands, Texas location. This role involves providing nursing support for operations, consulting and advising clinicians on best practices, implementing education and training programs, and collaborating on interdisciplinary projects. The position supports the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. The Woodlands location is described as a vibrant, nature-rich community offering advanced, personalized cancer care, with a focus on breast-only oncology services and clinical trials. The company emphasizes teamwork and collaboration to provide high-quality, individualized patient care. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN or MSN preferred.
  • RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years actively practicing as a registered nurse, including at least three years oncology experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure clinical operations and practice consistent with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborates with practice management to provide support on operational projects such as site Quality Committees, Quality Oncology Practice Initiative site assessments, Advancing Care Information, the Oncology Care Model (OCM), and other special projects as assigned.
  • Facilitates the implementation and/or utilization of outcomes data and evidence-based practices.
  • Facilitates implementation of standardized best practices within the organization.
  • Ensures practice standards of care are consistent with community standards of care.
  • Ensures the incorporation of clinical evidence into existing and newly developed standards.
  • Assesses staffing levels and issues, patient flow, current practices in the clinical setting.
  • Assists with the development of company-wide clinical competency testing and skills validation programs.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of applicable labor laws and schedules and coordinates employee staffing including vacations, sick leave and overtime.
