About The Position

Under the direction of the Manager of the Infusion Center, the OAII performs a variety of patient care activities. These include monitoring vital signs, phlebotomy, and direct patient care to enhance the efficiency of the center. Frequent exposure to blood and body fluids, communicable diseases and other conditions common to a clinical environment. Requires full range of body motion and lifting up to 30 pounds. Requires the use of general office equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • BLS certification
  • Knowledgeable in medical terminology
  • Skilled in taking vital signs
  • Skilled in multi-tasking
  • Skilled in being detail oriented
  • Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public

Nice To Haves

  • Certification as Medical Assistant required by a nationally recognized credentialing organization
  • One year of experience in a clinical and clerical setting
