About The Position

This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations. This is a fixed-term, 6 month contract role based in Merritt, Island, FL. As part of a hardworking team of diverse learning and development specialists, you will serve as the operational anchor for Blue Origin's New Employee Orientation (NEO) program, with heightened support in Florida. This fixed-term role provides dedicated logistics support during a period of elevated hiring volume, ensuring every new employee receives a seamless and high-quality Day 1 experience. You will own the end-to-end operational tasks that make orientation run smoothly—from pre-event preparation to real-time execution and teardown—while enabling our program owner and facilitators to focus on delivering the exceptional orientation every new Blue Origin employee deserves. This role will also provide general administrative support for our Rewards & Recognition programs including event planning logistics, on-site event support and responding to employee inquiries.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in onboarding/new hire orientation programs, event coordination, HR operations, or administrative roles
  • Experience working cross-functionally with IT, Facilities, or HR teams

Responsibilities

  • Execute Day 1 room setup and teardown for all orientation sessions
  • Build swag bags and maintain swag inventory levels
  • Print and organize employee handbooks and orientation materials
  • Place and coordinate lunch orders for orientation sessions
  • Manage roster edits and data corrections in partnership with the program owner and facilitators
  • Coordinate and distribute host communications, including links and special considerations
  • Provide real-time coordination with IT, Facilities, and site admins/leads
  • Communicate with Blue Guides and manage no-shows or last-minute schedule adjustments (Florida)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve last-minute room changes or logistical issues on the ground
  • Support the transition to and execution of a two-room NEO arrangement, ensuring on-time schedule
  • Serve as the dedicated on-site operational lead, ensuring no new employee is left without support
  • Other duties as assigned (Rewards & Recognition events, HR Town Halls, etc.)
