About The Position

The Onboarding Specialist is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the new hire process to ensure a seamless and compliant onboarding experience. This role involves managing background checks, drug testing, and I-9 verification while maintaining accurate records and supporting a fast-paced operational environment. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and customer service orientation are essential for success in this position.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Strong communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Minimum 2 plus years in HR, recruitment coordination, or onboarding.
• Proficiency in UKG and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to maintain accuracy in documentation and compliance processes.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in aviation or regulated industries preferred.
• Familiarity with TSA/FAA background check requirements and E-Verify protocols is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and monitor background checks, schedule drug tests, and complete I-9 verification for all new hires.
• Maintain accurate digital and physical employee records to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires during the onboarding process, providing clear communication and guidance.
• Track onboarding progress and proactively address delays to ensure timely completion of all steps.
• Work closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and other internal teams to facilitate a smooth transition for new employees.
• Perform any other tasks as assigned by management.
