On-The-Road Mechanic
About The Position
Vorst Rail Services, LLC is looking for an on-the-road mechanic to travel with the rail crew to work on equipment and vehicles. You will need to help rail crew when not working on vehicles and equipment. Employee would work on diesel pickup trucks, diesel dump trucks, diesel semi trucks, trailers, and mostly rail maintenance and laying equipment. Employee would perform electrical maintenance, trouble shooting, simple maintenance procedures and all repairs on-site as they occur. Employee may also be requested to do annual inspections of trucks and trailers required by DOT.
Requirements
- Must have a Driver's License.
- Must be willing to travel 100%.
- Ability to commute: Required to be on-the-road weekly.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience.
- DOT certified.
- Cutting and welding experience.
Responsibilities
