About The Position

Amphibious Medics, an on-site first response, health, and safety firm, is seeking an On-Site EMT-Paramedic for a construction site in Store County, NV. This role involves serving as a medical representative, collaborating with Health and Safety management to ensure a safe work environment. Responsibilities include providing first aid for injured workers, identifying potential safety hazards, implementing health and wellness programs, and participating in the workers' compensation process.

Requirements

  • One year of full-time experience in 911 emergency medical response.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, navigate an active job site including stairs, and carry required medical equipment weighing up to 35 lbs.
  • Physically capable of responding to medical emergencies, including providing CPR and assisting with or supporting the movement of an injured or incapacitated individual when necessary.
  • Minimum of a valid National Registry or State Paramedic Certification.
  • Valid CPR certification at the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider level (American Heart Association) or Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with OSHA regulations, specifically in 29 CFR 1910.
  • Experience working on large-scale construction sites.
  • Experience with the workers’ compensation claim process.
  • Instructor certification for First Aid, CPR, and AED training.
  • An active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card.

Responsibilities

  • Provide triage, first aid, and/or referral to an outside medical provider if indicated.
  • Assess situations, make sound decisions, and respond swiftly and appropriately in emergencies, including providing first aid, CPR, and other emergency medical care within the scope of the position.
  • Maintain medical records and the site's medical records database.
  • Maintain on-site inventory supplies, restock, and clean equipment used in the treatment of employees.
  • Communicate with outside medical providers regarding workers' injury/healing progression and provide direct follow-up care with workers.
  • Provide daily activity logs to the safety team and management team.
  • Perform frequent “site walks” to interact with both workers and managers.
  • Help coordinate an annual, semi-annual, or quarterly on-site health fair.
  • Participate in frequent medical and safety awareness meetings with construction workers.
