About The Position
FAR Inspections is seeking a reliable independent contractor to perform residential mortgage inspections in Lake County, Tennessee, and surrounding communities. This role involves performing brief, exterior residential occupancy verifications to confirm property status and report on general conditions. The position offers autonomy in managing routing, schedule, and territory, with standard inspections designed for speed, typically requiring only 5-6 minutes on-site. Contractors will determine property occupancy status, capture photos, and submit reports using mobile applications, maintaining high reliability for territory coverage and deadlines. This role requires significant driving within a rural county with longer distances between stops, making a fuel-efficient vehicle and comfort with country roads valuable.
Requirements
- Reliable, fuel-efficient vehicle.
- Smartphone (Android or iPhone) capable of running mobile reporting apps.
- Computer with an internet connection and a printer.
- Strong time-management skills to meet deadlines without direct supervision.
- Ability to pass a standard background check.
