About The Position
The On-Site Director leads daily school-age program operations at St. Pius X School and provides high-quality care and educational support in a safe, engaging environment aligned with Learning Grove standards and state requirements. The position is part-time, on-site, Monday through Friday from 1:20 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to bend, move frequently, and walk stairs.
- Ability to remain active and engaged with children throughout the day.
Nice To Haves
- Some post-secondary education preferred.
- Previous experience working with children preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily program operations and maintain safe, organized learning environments.
- Supervise children at all times and support engaging learning experiences and transitions.
- Implement lesson plans aligned with Kentucky and/or Ohio Early Learning Standards.
- Support curriculum planning and enrichment activities, including grant-funded programming.
- Maintain licensing compliance, required documentation, and program records.
- Ensure completion of required trainings, assessments, and educational credentials.
- Use positive guidance techniques to support children’s development and resilience.
- Communicate effectively with families, staff, school partners, and enrichment providers.
- Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, confidentiality, and cultural responsiveness.
