About The Position

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a On Prem Power BI Architect. This is a Hybrid role with 3 Days Onsite. The position is for 12 months and located in Charlotte, NC. The role requires deep hands-on Power BI development experience, strong troubleshooting skills for various Power BI issues, and the ability to support tenants with challenges in implementing Power BI capabilities. The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator with excellent presentation skills, solid SQL skills, and the ability to work independently to drive Power BI adoption.

Requirements

5+ years Power BI report/dashboard development experience (DAX, Power Query, modeling, report design).
Strong troubleshooting experience supporting Enterprise BI environments.
Excellent presentation and communication skills; comfortable leading sessions and office hours.
Strong problem solving mindset and ability to work independently.
Experience working in Agile environments.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Power BI Premium and Microsoft Fabric capacities.
Experience supporting or contributing to a BI Center of Excellence (COE).
Knowledge of SSRS modernization and migration to Power BI / PBIRS.
Experience mentoring developers or leading BI training sessions.
Familiarity with enterprise BI governance, RLS/OLS, and secure data practices.

Responsibilities

Deep hands on Power BI development experience (DAX, Power Query, data modeling).
Strong troubleshooting skills for dataset refresh issues, gateways, permissions, and performance.
Ability to support tenants with challenges in implementing Power BI capabilities.
Confident communicator with excellent presentation skills to lead COE office hours and user education sessions.
Solid SQL skills and comfort working with technical and business partners.
Self starter who can provide guidance, best practices, and help drive Power BI adoption.
