About The Position

DRYBAR WHEATON On-Location Beauty Stylist Part-Time | Flexible Schedule | Bridal & Special Events

We're looking for an experienced, polished stylist to join our on-location team at Drybar Wheaton. This is not your typical stylist role. You'll be our trusted expert in the field — representing the Drybar brand at weddings, bridal events, and private occasions throughout the greater Chicagoland area.
We partner with event planners, wedding planners, and bridal makeup studios, and we hold ourselves to a standard that reflects that partnership. If you take pride in your craft, show up prepared, and love making people feel beautiful on their most important days — this role was made for you.

Requirements

• Proven bridal and event styling experience — this is a requirement, not a plus
• Mastery of Hollywood waves (our most requested style — this is non-negotiable)
• Strong command of updos, modern braids, and veil work
• Active Illinois cosmetology license
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to event locations
• The kind of person who packs their kit the night before — prepared, thorough, and never caught off guard
• Punctual, professional, and genuinely kind — clients should feel at ease the moment you walk in
• All-black professional attire is required for every on-location event — no exceptions. Your appearance is part of the client experience and reflects the Drybar brand.

Responsibilities

• Travel to wedding venues, hotels, and private residences to deliver on-site hair styling
• Execute bridal and event hair with precision — Hollywood waves, elegant updos, bubble braids, veil placement, and Drybar signature blowouts
• Serve as a direct extension of the Drybar Wheaton brand — professional, warm, and flawless every time
• Maintain availability for advance bookings — some weddings book 12–18 months out, and we need stylists who plan ahead alongside us
• Commit to two Saturday in-salon shifts per month at Drybar Wheaton
• Be available on an on-call basis as our dedicated on-location stylist as demand grows
