About The Position

This is an on-call position for an Unarmed Security Guard, working up to 29 hours per week. The role involves enforcing laws, rules, and policies authorized by the Safety and Security Department. The guard will perform alarm and patrol duties to protect life and property, provide vehicle transportation support, assist visitors and staff, and conduct building security and safety checks. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

Prefer 1 year of experience in a security department, law enforcement agency, or experience with security duties.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred

Responsibilities

Enforcing all laws, rules and policies authorized by the Safety and Security Department.
Enforces all authorized laws, rules, and regulations.
Performs alarm and patrol duties in assigned areas to protect life and property against theft, misappropriation, vandalism, fire, flood, or similar disaster, suspicious acts and/or persons, and other unusual conditions.
Provide vehicle transportation support function under direction of supervisor in compliance with government, corporate and management directives.
Aids and assists visitors, students, and staff.
Performs building security and safety checks.
