About The Position

We are currently looking for an on-call Treatment Foster Care Social Worker to join our Foster Care team. We are looking for someone who has a positive, team attitude and can work with a culturally diverse population. It is strongly preferred that the candidate have experience working as a Social Worker at a Foster Family Agency. The Foster Care Social Worker will be responsible for managing a caseload of children/families in our Foster Care as assigned by the Supervising Social Worker/Director.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in one of the following: social work or social welfare; marriage family and child counseling; child psychology; child development; counseling psychology; or social psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to respond in crisis situations and ability to speak clearly and present information both verbally and in writing to all levels of staff and customers.
  • Respond after hours as needed, to ensure case management requirements are met, including evenings and weekends.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older and able to pass a physical examination; drug clearance; criminal background check and Child Abuse Index check.
  • Must possess a valid California driver’s license with clean DMV history and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and be insurable by Trinity’s insurance carrier.
  • Should have an interest in working directly with youth in accordance with the general requirements as established in the California Administrative Code, Title 22.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a Foster Care Social Worker is strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform written needs assessments; develop child’s treatment plans and their updates.
  • Meet and coordinate visitation with resource parents, children and child’s parents/relatives or significant others.
  • Complete and maintain all pertinent documentation and reports necessary for effective case management.
  • Ensure resource family certification and recertification records, as well as all required documents are complete and accurately maintained per Agency procedures.
  • Participate in recruitment and selection of resource parents; conduct in-service training for resource parents, as needed; provide on-call emergency support for resource homes and/or children.
