About The Position

We are currently looking for an on-call Treatment Foster Care Social Worker to join our Foster Care team. We are looking for someone who has a positive, team attitude and can work with a culturally diverse population. It is strongly preferred that the candidate have experience working as a Social Worker at a Foster Family Agency. The Foster Care Social Worker will be responsible for managing a caseload of children/families in our Foster Care as assigned by the Supervising Social Worker/Director.

Requirements

Master’s Degree in one of the following: social work or social welfare; marriage family and child counseling; child psychology; child development; counseling psychology; or social psychology from an accredited institution is required.
Demonstrated ability to respond in crisis situations and ability to speak clearly and present information both verbally and in writing to all levels of staff and customers.
Respond after hours as needed, to ensure case management requirements are met, including evenings and weekends.
Must be 18 years of age or older and able to pass a physical examination; drug clearance; criminal background check and Child Abuse Index check.
Must possess a valid California driver’s license with clean DMV history and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and be insurable by Trinity’s insurance carrier.
Should have an interest in working directly with youth in accordance with the general requirements as established in the California Administrative Code, Title 22.

Nice To Haves

Experience as a Foster Care Social Worker is strongly preferred.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform written needs assessments; develop child’s treatment plans and their updates.
Meet and coordinate visitation with resource parents, children and child’s parents/relatives or significant others.
Complete and maintain all pertinent documentation and reports necessary for effective case management.
Ensure resource family certification and recertification records, as well as all required documents are complete and accurately maintained per Agency procedures.
Participate in recruitment and selection of resource parents; conduct in-service training for resource parents, as needed; provide on-call emergency support for resource homes and/or children.
