About The Position

Fueling Brains Academies is seeking On-Call Teachers with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working with children and adults. Nice To Haves

• Minimum one year of experience working with children
• Early Childhood Certification - ECE Level 2/3
• Reggio-inspired or Montessori experience is an asset.
• Current First Aid Certificate (may be obtained upon hire)
• Criminal Record Check, with Vulnerable Sector Check, within the past 6 months (may be obtained upon hire)

Responsibilities

• Spark imagination, build self-esteem, and help children discover new things each day.
• Guide children in self-motivated learning, helping stimulate their natural desire to learn.
• Encourage children through role modeling and guidance to respect themselves and others.
• Collaborate with classroom teams for planning and implementation of weekly lesson plans.
• Plan open-ended activities with an emphasis on process orientation and a developmentally appropriate curriculum with age-appropriate and individualized activities.
• Report challenges, successes, and competencies of each student to the Director or parents on a regular basis.
• Supervise the classroom, helping the children to think creatively, to solve problems independently, and respect themselves and others.
• Ensure an educational, caring, and safe environment for the children.
• Assist children with self-care (i.e. dressing, diapering, feeding).
• Other duties as assigned by Lead Teachers and Program Supervisors.
