About The Position

At PASCO, we believe great care starts with great caregivers. As an On-Call Shift CNA (Runner), you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our clients receive reliable, high-quality care—when they need it most. This is not your typical CNA position. As a Runner, you are scheduled and paid for your full shift, even if you are not actively dispatched to a visit. You’ll remain available during your shift and be ready to step in to support clients across the Denver Metro area. This role is ideal for CNAs who value flexibility, variety, and the opportunity to make an immediate impact! You can create your weekly schedule from the days/times listed or you can choose to be a PRN On-Call CNA (PRN Runner), where you’re required to work 5 or more shifts a month by picking up any of the open shifts available. Permanent Shift Options: For those seeking consistency, you may commit to a set weekly schedule (90-day commitment required): Mondays: 3:00-10:00 PM (1) Tuesdays: 3:00-10:00 PM (3) Wednesdays: 3:00-10:00 PM (2) Thursdays: 5:00 AM-3:00 PM (1) + 3:00-10:00 PM (1) Fridays 3:00-10:00 PM (2) Saturdays 3:00-10:00 PM (2) Sundays 3:00-10:00 PM (2) PRN On-Call CNA: Pick up shifts as needed Minimum commitment: 5 shifts per month As an On-Call Shift CNA (Runner), you will: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) Monitor and report changes in client condition Provide companionship and emotional support Step in to cover visits when primary caregivers are unavailable Remain available and responsive throughout your scheduled shift You’ll be a key part of maintaining continuity of care and ensuring our clients feel supported at all times! Requirements

  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Colorado
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout the Denver Metro area
  • Ability to remain responsive, flexible, and ready to be dispatched during scheduled on-call shifts
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to different client needs and home environments
  • Basic technology skills for documentation and communication (EMR systems, phone apps, etc.)
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (offered at NO cost by PASCO!)
  • Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients as needed per care plan
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and committed to providing high-quality care

Responsibilities

  • Remain on-call and available for the full duration of each scheduled shift (paid for entire shift)
  • Be prepared to travel throughout assigned service areas to provide coverage as needed
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, mobility, and basic household tasks
  • Monitor client condition and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate PASCO team members
  • Provide companionship and support to promote client comfort and well-being
  • Accurately document care provided in required systems and complete all charting in a timely manner
  • Communicate effectively with coordinators, nursing staff, and team members regarding schedules, updates, and client needs
  • Step in to cover shifts when primary caregivers are unavailable, ensuring continuity of care
