On-Call RN Hospice
About The Position
Alpha Omega Hospice is seeking a full-time On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care and support to hospice patients and their families. The nurse identifies patient and family needs, coordinates care, and provides preventative measures and compassionate support. The schedule is 7 days on and 7 days off, on call, serving Tarrant County. Alpha Omega Hospice describes itself as a mission-driven, patient-centered provider of end-of-life care. Requirements
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- At least one year of RN experience in a medical-surgical or acute-care setting.
- Computer proficiency, including typing and use of various programs; experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
- Current CPR certification if required by the state.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or health care preferred.
- Hospice experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Respond to a variety of patient needs, from urgent to routine.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation in patients’ homes and in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.
- Share knowledge and expertise with families, guiding and supporting them in caring for terminally ill loved ones.
