About The Position

Luther Village, an independent senior living community located in Arlington Heights, is actively looking for an experienced and hospitality-focused Security (Safety Officer) to join our team! We are seeking a dedicated on-call Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be crucial in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our residents and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring premises, enforcing rules, and responding to incidents effectively. The shift is Saturday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 5 pm -1 am.

Requirements

• Experience in a senior living community preferred.
• Proficient in surveillance techniques, including the use of CCTV systems.
• Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in emergencies.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Background check required
• Must be able to work independently.
• High school or equivalent (Required)

• This is an on-call position and requires the availability to fill in for vacations or unplanned absences.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol buildings and parking areas.
• Monitor areas for physical hazards.
• Respond to incidents and assist residents as needed.
• Respond promptly to alarms and calls for assistance, assess situations, and take appropriate action.
• Enforce company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts.
• Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary and provide support during investigations.
