About The Position

The Pharmacist at the Central Fulfillment (CF) site is responsible for conducting pharmacist verification in a closed-door pharmacy environment. The primary role is to ensure the accuracy and completeness of prescriptions in the Central Fill prescription filling system. The Pharmacist will serve as a leader to the shift team and partner with the site PIC/General Manager to provide direction for the teams. They will work in accordance with the Board of Pharmacy guidelines. The Pharmacist will assist the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) with all quality assurance activities related to keeping patients safe and complying with all state and local regulations along with policies and procedures of the company. The position will be based in Phoenix, AZ. Our on-call pharmacist opportunities offer several scheduling options designed to provide flexibility while supporting our operational needs. Below is two scheduling needs for this position: OPTION #1 Guaranteed every Thursday in the range of 6am to 6pm and PRN for weekdays/weekends for 2-4 additional shifts per month. Additional pick-up hours can be Saturdays from 7am -3:30pm and any shift on Sundays/Mondays/Tuesdays/Wednesdays between 6AM to 11PM. SUMMARY: 4-6 days per month including every Thursday availability. OPTION #2 Every other Sunday and/or every other Saturday as well as PRN for both some weekdays and weekends for 2-4 additional shifts per month. Additional pick up hours can by any shift on Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday between 6am to 11pm. SUMMARY: 4 days per month including their every other Saturday or Sunday availability

Requirements

B.S. or doctorate (PharmD) in pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy required.
Licensed Pharmacist in the CF home state for a minimum of 1 year.
A minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience or equivalent in a similar setting.

Nice To Haves

Prior pharmacist experience within a retail OR closed-door fulfillment setting.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to visit remote operations, business partners, and the General Office as needed.
Process systems experience (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen) preferred.
Mail order and central fill pharmacy experience preferred.
Knowledge of pharmacy systems and systems integration
Experience in handling software and hardware in a warehouse environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Pharmacist verification of prescriptions.
Supervision of pharmacy technicians work as regulated by the Board of Pharmacy
Responsible for supporting the store pharmacy operations to achieve their planned business objectives.
All activities related to the preparation, dispensing and sale of prescription and pharmacy related products.
Assist in developing and implementing CF programs to help meet sales objectives and increase prescription volume.
Provide the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) updates on Pharmacy operations.
Understands and complies with Best Practice Standards and execution by pharmacy staff when the Pharmacist in Charge is absent.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, federal laws, and company policies and procedures.
Assist in the training and development of pharmacy staff.
Hold and maintain a clean pharmacist licensure in the home state.
Must complete all required state, federal and company training programs (i.e. HIPAA, CDR, I-pledge, etc.)
Confront complex pharmacy operational issues with situation specific business solutions.
Other duties as assigned concurrent with all applicable laws and regulations.
