This position involves preparing coffee breaks, carts, and stations with appropriate food and beverages as stated in the Banquet Event Order. The role includes preparing tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert table/carts, and cordial carts. Responsibilities also include communicating additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen, ensuring courses are cleared and tables are properly crumbed, and responding to special banquet event arrangements. The server will replenish buffet items for consistency and freshness, monitor tableware for presentability, and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas. Additionally, the role requires bussing tables by removing and separating tableware, plateware, glassware, and flatware. The position also entails following all company and safety and security policies and procedures, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions, completing safety training, and maintaining a clean and professional appearance. The server will welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with appreciation. Clear and professional communication, supporting team goals, and adhering to quality standards are essential. The role requires reading and visually verifying information, standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and performing physical tasks including moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects. Fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and navigating various surfaces and stairs are also necessary. Other reasonable job duties may be requested.
