About The Position
On-Call Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Omaha, NebraskaSchedule: On-Call / PRN (7 days on / 7 days off structure) Pay: $125/day while on-call; $55.00 per hour when called in At Hillcrest Health & Living, our mission is simple yet powerful: inspire people to live their best lives. Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of Nebraska (or compact state)
- Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience
- At least two (2) years of hospice or home health experience
- Strong clinical judgment with the ability to work independently
- Compassionate communicator with a patient-centered approach
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Responsibilities
- Respond to after-hours calls and provide skilled nursing care to hospice patients in homes or care settings
- Perform symptom management, assessments, and interventions to ensure patient comfort
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate high-quality end-of-life care
- Complete timely and accurate documentation
