Job Summary - On-Call Receptionist opening The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for greeting and assisting visitors and callers in a professional and courteous manner, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the common area.

Requirements

  • At least 1-year of relevant experience.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills; knowledge of major software programs (Word, Outlook).
  • Very well organized.
  • Maintain professional standards of conduct and appearance with co-workers and the public.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks with competing deadlines in stressful environments.
  • Ability to remain on task and follow through projects to their completion.
  • Exhibit strong commitment to the organization and dedicated to the restoration of clients.
  • Must be comfortable working with people with life-controlling challenges, including mental health and addiction.
  • The ability to live and work by MnTC’s culture of honor & core values – practicing compassion, honor, respect, integrity, servanthood, and trust.
  • At least 1 year of freedom from problematic substances.
  • Must be able to meet specific staff requirements outlined in Minnesota Statutes 245G.11. Reference: Sec. 245G.11 MN Statutes.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at a time.

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and receive callers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Open and close front desk, Monday – Friday.
  • Answer and direct all incoming calls/voicemail and emails during business hours.
  • Maintain and update the current department and phone list at front desk.
  • Log visitors in and out; then notify appropriate party of the visitor(s) arrival through the proper communication channel.
  • Distribute incoming mail/packages received each day and process outgoing mail.
  • Keep the front reception and seating area clean.
  • Maintain updated documents in the reception area and ensure the reception area is neat and orderly.
