ICF is seeking On-Call Archaeologists based in Oregon (statewide) to assist senior archaeologists primarily in fieldwork. Tasks include survey, testing, evaluation, data recovery, and construction monitoring. Other duties may involve laboratory analysis, background research, report preparation assistance, and other assigned tasks. This role requires strong field skills, the ability to identify precontact and historic-period artifacts, and meticulous field note-taking. Travel for up to 8 days may be required, though much of the work will be local. The position involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, potentially hiking 5-10 miles daily, shovel testing, and prolonged standing. ICF provides single occupancy hotels and GSA per diem rates for travel assignments, and mileage reimbursement at the current GSA rate for personal vehicle use. All travel time is compensated at the hourly rate. On-Call employees have flexible scheduling, can accept or refuse assigned hours, and may work concurrent projects outside of ICF as long as there is no conflict of interest.
