On Call Dialysis Patient Care Technician (M-F + 2 Saturdays)
About The Position
Concerto Renal Services is seeking an On-Call Dialysis Patient Care Technician for the Central/Southwest Ohio region. This role is essential for providing safe and effective dialysis therapy under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The technician will be on call five days a week (Monday - Friday + 2 Saturdays per month), with actual workdays varying based on coverage needs. This position is eligible for overtime and involves travel within and occasionally outside the assigned region, with additional pay for out-of-region travel and mileage reimbursement. The core mission is to reimagine dialysis care through a convenient, centralized, continuous care model for individuals with end-stage renal disease.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current CPR Certification or completion upon starting in unit.
- Able to meet the physical demands of the position.
- Minimum of two (2) years of dialysis technician experience.
- Dialysis certification required.
- Passing Ishihara's Color Blindness test.

Responsibilities
- Provides hands-on care to assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse, including initiating and discontinuing dialysis treatments per prescribed orders.
- Obtains and documents pre- and post-treatment vitals, weight, and vascular access assessments, reporting any unusual findings to the nurse.
- Sets up, operates, and performs safety checks on hemodialysis machines; administers heparin as permitted by state law.
- Accurately documents patient treatment details and prepares laboratory specimens as prescribed.
- Delivers excellent service to patients, families, and staff, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
