About The Position
Concerto Renal Services is seeking an On-Call Dialysis Patient Care Technician to join their team. This role is essential for providing safe and effective dialysis therapy within skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. The technician will work under the supervision of a licensed nurse, traveling within a designated region and occasionally outside of it, with additional compensation for travel. The position requires a compassionate and skilled individual who can contribute to Concerto's mission of reimagining dialysis care.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current CPR Certification or completion upon starting in unit.
- Able to meet the physical demands of the position.
- Minimum of two (2) years of dialysis technician experience.
- Dialysis certification required.
- Passing Ishihara's Color Blindness test.

Responsibilities
- Provides hands-on care to assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse, including initiating and discontinuing dialysis treatments per prescribed orders.
- Obtains and documents pre- and post-treatment vitals, weight, and vascular access assessments, reporting any unusual findings to the nurse.
- Sets up, operates, and performs safety checks on hemodialysis machines; administers heparin as permitted by state law.
- Accurately documents patient treatment details and prepares laboratory specimens as prescribed.
- Delivers excellent service to patients, families, and staff, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
