About The Position

Senior Helpers is currently seeking on-call caregivers to provide essential care for our North Seattle seniors when urgent needs arise or when regularly scheduled caregivers are unavailable. This vital role ensures no client is ever left without the care they depend on. As an on-call caregiver, your dependability and flexibility directly support the health and well-being of our elderly clients and their families. On-call caregivers step in with compassion and professionalism whenever they are needed most.

Requirements

Willingness to be on-call and respond promptly to care requests
Must have a reliable cell phone and be comfortable using caregiving apps for scheduling and documentation
Caring, reliable, patient, positive —passionate about helping others
HCA or CNA certification, or working toward degree
Must pass state required background check
Must be able to commute to client homes in North Seattle
Experience caregiving in healthcare, home care, assisted living, independent living, home health, medical assistance or nursing.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care (assistance with walking, dressing, grooming, and hygiene)
Support clients with light housekeeping and meal preparation
Offer medication reminders and assist with transportation, as needed
Build meaningful relationships through conversation and companionship
Maintain communication with clients, families, and the care team including observing and documenting changes in condition, behavior, or needs
