About The Position

Step into a high-impact role where you are the hero who saves the day. As an On-Call Caregiver, you are the go-to person for last-minute call-outs and urgent client needs outside regular business hours. You'll help seniors stay safe and comfortable at home, boost their spirits, and make an immediate difference every time you answer the phone.

Responsibilities

  • Commit to being on call during specific days and hours, ready to step in when you're needed most.
  • Earn a stipend for being on call, plus an hourly wage for all client visits you complete.
  • Return all calls within 15 minutes during your on-call window and understand you may be called at any time in that period (for example, at midnight for an overnight shift if on call from 8 pm–8 am).
  • Are able to leave for a client visit within 30 minutes of being contacted by the On-Call Supervisor.
  • Accept all assignments during your on-call period, regardless of location, including some assisted living and hospice shifts where we support staffing needs.
  • Understand that not meeting on-call responsibilities may result in loss of the on-call stipend.
  • Provide accurate information about your health status and experience so we can safely match you with clients.
  • Review each client's care plan before providing care to ensure safe, confident service.
  • Maintain reliable transportation so you can reach any client who needs you during on-call hours.
  • Communicate promptly with the agency about any issues, changes, or concerns.
  • Complete all required documentation clearly, accurately, and on time.
  • Protect client confidentiality at all times.
  • Immediately report any concerns of client abuse or neglect.
  • Keep personal problems and opinions out of client interactions, maintaining a professional, supportive presence.
  • Maintain access to email so you never miss client updates, schedule changes, or company communications.
  • Wear personal protective equipment exactly as trained to keep yourself and clients safe.
  • Keep your vehicle clean, insured, and properly serviced so you're always ready to go.
  • Perform all tasks outlined in the HHA, CNA, or PCA job descriptions.
  • Meet all qualifications and skill requirements listed for HHA, CNA, or PCA roles.
