About The Position

Jonathan Club is an upscale, members-only, private club located in Santa Monica on the beach. Club facilities include food & beverage outlets both casual and fine dining, luxurious meeting spaces, and a state-of-the-art athletics facility featuring wellness programs and spa services. The Banquet Bartender is responsible for taking drink orders, including martinis, knowing exact measurements of all ingredients, glassware, method, and garnish, opening white, red, and sparkling wine, suggestive selling, food & wine pairing, glass & decanter care, preserving wine grapes (flavor profile & differences), and reading & navigating the wine list. This is an on-call position with a flat rate pay of $22.00/hour, as it is a non-gratuity-based position. Requirements

Ability to take a drink order
Ability to take a martini order
Knowledge of exact measurements of all ingredients, glassware, method, and garnish
Ability to open white, red, and sparkling wine
Ability to perform suggestive selling
Knowledge of Food & Wine pairing
Knowledge of Glass & decanter care
