About The Position

As a Producer at Shop LC, you will be responsible for scheduling and airing the products given within each show and ensuring each show is successful and meets sales goals. Work Location – 100 Michael Angelo Way, Suite 300, Austin, Texas 78728 Reporting Manager – Sales Manager – Producers Salary Range - $48,000 to $52,000 annually

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with one or more years of experience in studio operations, and jewelry sales experience a plus.
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure setting.
  • Proven ability to work within a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to adjust and refocus in a dynamic and ever-changing live television environment.
  • Must be able to document and demonstrate an excellent retail sales track record.
  • Goal oriented with a focus on the bottom line.
  • Skilled in formulating and executing sales strategies.
  • Dependable and flexible, able to work in a 24/7/365 environment with flexibility to work all shifts including overnights.
  • Operate independently and exercise sound judgment and critical thinking in daily activities.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with production and studio staff.

  • Minimum of four days of on-air and or office days of work a week.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the direction of the company by working closely with sales leadership.
  • Coordinate various aspects of individual show’s live production such as overseeing product quantities and availability, meeting sales targets, orchestrating timing and graphics, and working in tandem with the show’s director to create a compelling story for the audience, utilizing sound effects, graphics, and audio.
  • Work live on air with the production team, leading each show, to ensure an entertaining and effective experience for the audience.
  • Comply with the Producer Code of Conduct roles and responsibilities and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned by the manager.
  • Proactive Show Planning
  • Producers must take a proactive approach in coordinating with the MPA prior to each show.
  • The goal is to complete most of the preparation work before the show, minimizing last-minute adjustments during pre-show meetings.
  • Early preparation enables greater control, smoother show flow, and more creative input.
  • Review of Show Lineups
  • Show lineups are typically distributed 48 hours in advance.
  • Producers must review assigned shows thoroughly upon receipt.
  • Provide timely feedback to the MPA regarding lineup structure, product selection, or any areas of concern.
  • Identification of Key Items
  • Identify potential key items within the assigned lineup.
  • If no key items are designated, producers are encouraged to recommend suitable products that could serve as key features.
  • Requests for specific products or key items should be submitted through the Scheduler, which is open to all producers.
  • The warehouse maintains a wide selection of available inventory for producers to choose from through the Scheduler.
  • Collaboration with Hosts
  • Producers who regularly work with the same host should leverage that familiarity to strengthen collaboration.
  • Include hosts in preparation sessions with the MPA to develop:
  • Storylines and product narratives
  • Naming and positioning strategies
  • Storytelling angles to enhance on-air presentation and audience engagement
