About The Position

Connoisseur Media in the Coachella Valley is seeking a talented and versatile Part-Time On-Air Programming Personality. This role involves entertaining listeners on-air, producing creative station content, supporting programming initiatives, and engaging with the community at events. The ideal candidate is creative, energetic, and passionate about radio, music, and connecting with audiences in a fun, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Previous on-air radio experience preferred.
• Strong communication, storytelling, and audience engagement skills.
• Excellent voice, timing, and show preparation abilities.
• Ability to connect authentically with listeners both live and through voice tracking.
• Audio production and editing experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Dependable, flexible, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• A genuine passion for radio, music, entertainment, and local community involvement.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a fully insured personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Record and deliver daily local newscasts each weekday morning on KNWZ-FM Local News (approximately 10 hours per week).
• Weekend Voice Tracking: Voice track 2–3 weekend shifts per week (approximately 5 hours per week).
• Host live on-air shifts that inform, entertain, and connect with listeners.
• Record and produce commercials, promotional announcements, and station imaging.
• Create memorable on-air content that is entertaining, local, and relevant.
• Assist with programming execution and daily content initiatives.
• Follow station formats, clocks, and programming guidelines.
• Operate broadcast automation, audio editing, and scheduling systems.
• Contribute creative ideas for promotions, contests, and audience engagement.
• Represent the station at remote broadcasts, community events, and promotional appearances.
• Support digital content efforts through social media and website contributions.
• Collaborate with programming, promotions, production, and sales teams to create outstanding listener experiences.
