About The Position

FRANKENMUTH BAVARIAN INN LODGE is seeking an Oma's Host/Hostess. This is a part-time position with hours ranging from 8-35 per week, working 1-5 days per week. The role involves seating guests, managing reservations, ensuring a positive dining environment, and assisting with various operational tasks. The ideal candidate will have a pleasing personality, good communication skills, and a minimum of one year of related food service experience.

Requirements

• Must pass ServSafe Alcohol Course.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year experience as Host/Hostess or related food experience.
• Pleasing personality, well-groomed and neat appearance.
• Ability to resolve service problems on own initiative.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Seating guests and documenting guest covers according to procedures.
• Directing Oma’s and the Dining Room personnel to maintain an ideal dining environment.
• Ensuring the wait staff provides proper service.
• Talking to guests, promoting menus and specials.
• Assuring proper and efficient setup and teardown of the dining area.
• Maintaining clean, organized, and sanitary working conditions and products.
• Taking reservations for Oma’s Restaurant and logging them.
• Overseeing Brunch and handling reservations on special holidays.
• Helping to control labor expenses and overtime by keeping staff productive.
• Performing take out and room service orders.
• Working as a server when needed.
