About The Position

SCS Engineers is seeking a Field Project Manager for its Georgia OM&M Field Services. This role is responsible for the safe and effective execution of work related to the construction, operation, maintenance, and monitoring of various environmental control systems. The Field Project Manager will spend over 50% of their time in the field, managing multiple smaller projects or one to two large projects. While the office is located in Duluth, Georgia, remote and field work is permitted.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant OM&M and/or construction experience.
  • Relevant project management experience.
  • An unrestricted, valid driver’s license with a driving record in good standing.

Nice To Haves

  • Landfill gas experience.
  • 40-hour Health and Safety, 8-hour Management and Supervisor, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.20, Confined Space Entry, and Trench Excavation Safety training.

Responsibilities

  • Learning, understanding, and complying with SCS policies and procedures.
  • Project management, including preparation of site-specific health and safety plans, review and approval of daily Crew Activity Plans (CAP), and preparation of work scopes, schedules, budgets, and contracts.
  • Ensuring the financial performance of assigned projects.
  • Managing client expectations and satisfaction.
  • Communicating with the project team, clients, regulatory agencies, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Managing the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
  • Reviewing, approving, and analyzing field data.
  • Providing direction on operational adjustments to environmental control system components.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and submitting routine operations reports to the client.
  • Assisting with data preparation for regulatory reporting.
  • Preparing and submitting client invoices, billing forecasts, and accruals.
  • Ensuring the quality of project work and associated documents per the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Understanding, adopting, and promoting the company's behavior-based health and safety program.
  • Ensuring field teams have necessary safety equipment.
  • Leading or participating in tailgate safety meetings.
  • Conducting safety assessments of field conditions and providing recommendations.
  • Conducting investigations and preparing reports for health and safety incidents.
  • Reviewing, approving, and submitting employee time sheets and expense reports.
  • Managing direct-reporting employee performance, including participating in the talent acquisition process.
  • Participating in business development activities.
  • Fostering working relationships with other SCS Business Units.
