About The Position

Position Overview: The function of the Older Adult and Special Events Coordinator (OASEC) is to coordinate all Senior Ministries reservations and inquiries, as well as serve as the point person for all community-based special events at Ladore. Description of Position: Perform the database entries for all senior guests Preparation of bills for all senior guests and groups Generate weekly reports Verifies all scholarship information for Senior Ministry Coordinates all Senior Ministry check-in procedures including collecting payments and dispersing receipts Organize, promote, handle registration, and guide special Assign rooms to guests, via Data Base program Receive and process all renewal registrations of older adults Maintain bring up files for Sales departments, deposits, General office work e. filing, telephone calls, mailings Assist Sales Director with retreat and conference details as needed Give support to Program Department, as directed Perform related duties, as assigned The above list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the candidate will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Excellent communication skills especially phone skills
  • Comfortable communicating with Older Adults
  • Computer Knowledge/ Data Base programs, Microsoft Word, Excel
  • Able to work in fast moving arena
  • Positive Attitude and patience
  • Must be able to multi task
  • As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every five years thereafter.
  • Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check.
  • Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
