Requirements

  • Candidates who are not legally authorized to work in Canada will not be considered. Halliburton will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position
  • Requires completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
  • Skills are acquired through on-the-job training and 3-6 months experience as an Operator Asst I.
  • Class 5 non-GDL driver's license required with the ability to obtain a Class 1 license.
  • Must be able to provide a copy of drivers abstract.
  • This position requires you to coordinate your own local housing in the Grande Prairie area during scheduled time on.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic computer skills and the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations are preferred.
  • Halliburton will support successful candidates in the necessary Class 1 license course once employed.

Responsibilities

  • Under strict supervision, assists senior operators and/or performs frac-specific job roles (e.g., proppant, chemicals, blenders, QA/QC, etc... ).
  • Learns basic operations to include but not limited to: performing pre/post job equipment inspections, performing and completing preventative maintenance procedures and operating support equipment (e.g., proppant handling, fluid tanks, suction manifolding, discharge manifold equipment, etc.).
  • Completes requisite training and demonstrates competency as defined for current and next level.
  • Assists in assembly and preparation of equipment for installation and service.
  • Assists in the cleanup, repair, and preparation for the next job.
  • Exhibits safety awareness and environmental consciousness and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
  • Participates in quality and continuous improvement processes.
