About The Position

Piper Electric, a top-rated electrical contractor in the Denver metro area, is seeking an experienced and motivated Oilfield Division Superintendent to lead and expand our oil & gas field services. This hands-on leadership role is focused on supervising well site electrical projects—including wellhead wiring, PLC automation, and field execution—across active oilfield locations just north of Denver. We’re looking for a seasoned leader who thrives in the field, can coordinate crews and client relationships, and ensure quality, safety, and reliability across all oilfield installs and service calls.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in oilfield electrical or automation work, with supervisory or superintendent-level responsibility.
  • Current Colorado Journeyman or Master Electrician License required.
  • Strong understanding of oilfield production sites, well pad infrastructure, and electrical systems used in artificial lift, tank batteries, and LACT units.
  • Familiarity with NEC, API, and Colorado regulatory codes relevant to oil & gas.
  • Excellent communication, scheduling, and leadership skills.
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Windows).
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PLC programming, RTUs, SCADA integration, and automation controls preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of Piper’s Oilfield Division, including field supervision of electrical crews working on upstream oil & gas sites.
  • Lead installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of oilfield electrical infrastructure: well leads, VFDs, control panels, MCCs, and PLC-based automation systems.
  • Review project scopes, well site drawings, and schematics to ensure accurate, code-compliant installation and field commissioning.
  • Act as main point of contact for clients, project managers, and GCs—providing progress updates, resolving field issues, and coordinating jobsite needs.
  • Maintain work schedules, allocate labor and materials, and monitor job progress against deadlines and budgets.
  • Enforce safety compliance and jobsite accountability with zero-incident expectations; uphold all OSHA, NEC, and site-specific HSE protocols.
  • Collaborate on job estimating, scope development, and planning for new oilfield service opportunities.
