Primary Purpose: The Oiler is responsible for executing lubrication, inspection, and basic preventive maintenance activities on production and facility equipment to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and longevity.

Requirements

Prior experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or maintenance environment
Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of equipment components and functions
Ability to follow preventive maintenance schedules and standardized work processes
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify equipment abnormalities
Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced production environment
High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

Experience in lubrication programs or maintenance support roles
Familiarity with maintenance tracking systems
Working knowledge of industrial lubrication practices, oils, greases, and application methods
Exposure to predictive or preventive maintenance practices

Responsibilities

Perform routine lubrication of machinery, including bearings, gears, chains, and other moving components in accordance with established schedules
Inspect equipment during lubrication routes to identify abnormal conditions such as leaks, vibration, noise, or wear
Maintain and follow preventive maintenance (PM) schedules related to lubrication and basic mechanical upkeep
Refill, clean, and maintain lubrication systems, reservoirs, and delivery equipment
Document completed work, inspections, and findings in CMMS or maintenance tracking systems
Report equipment deficiencies to maintenance leadership and mechanics for corrective action
Assist mechanics and maintenance technicians with basic maintenance tasks and equipment servicing
Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of lubricants, oils, and chemicals in compliance with safety and environmental standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of lubrication equipment, storage areas, and workspaces
Monitor lubricant inventory levels and notify leadership when replenishment is required
Support equipment reliability initiatives by identifying recurring issues and contributing to root cause awareness
Follow all plant safety policies, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE requirements, and hazard communication standards
Respond to urgent lubrication or servicing needs during equipment downtime or breakdowns
Perform additional duties as assigned to support maintenance and plant operations
