Oil Delivery Driver
About The Position
The Oil Delivery Driver delivers home heating oil to residential customers using tank trucks and/or tractor trailers. The driver represents the company professionally and cost-effectively, with a focus on prompt, safe delivery, customer satisfaction, and profitability. The role requires following company procedures and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety standards. Work may include nights and weekends, with potential overtime, particularly during the busy winter season. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid CDL Class A or B driver’s license with Tank and HazMat endorsements.
- Ability to meet the company’s motor vehicle policy.
- Ability to meet all DOT requirements, including a road test and drug screen.
- Reliability, diligence, and dependability.
- Ability to use maps effectively and locate addresses.
Nice To Haves
- TWIC card.
- Oil delivery experience.
Responsibilities
- Make routine home heating oil deliveries to customers’ homes safely and on time.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules.
- Load and unload the delivery vehicle; prepare, inspect, and operate it.
- Complete logs and reports.
- Follow company policies and procedures, DOT regulations, and safety standards.
