About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is seeking friendly and energetic full-time crew members and lube techs to join their family. With a 'Pit Tech to President' growth path, Take 5 offers opportunities for self-motivated individuals who love working with cars. No experience is required as comprehensive training will be provided for tasks such as oil changes, wiper blade/air filter replacement, tire inflation, and other light maintenance services. The company emphasizes a positive attitude and willingness to learn as key attributes for success. Many successful technicians started with no prior experience, coming from diverse backgrounds like servers, restaurant workers, mechanics, retail employees, and landscapers. The company boasts a strong internal promotion rate, with over 90% of field leaders starting as lube techs.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift to fifty (50) pounds
- Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning
- Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop
- Must be over 18 years of age (over 16 years of age in Arizona, Idaho, Kansas, New Mexico, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, and Wyoming)
Responsibilities
- Drain motor oil
- Change oil filter
- Wash windshield and adjust tire pressure
- Inspect and top off fluids
- Perform coolant exchanges
- Restock and maintain inventory levels on the floor
- Maintain cleanliness of work environment
- Provide excellent customer service
