About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is hiring full-time crew members and lube technicians. No prior experience is required; the company provides training to perform oil changes and other light maintenance services, including replacing wiper blades and air filters and filling tires with air. Candidates should be willing to learn, work hard, and bring a positive attitude. The role offers up to $15 per hour through base pay and commissions, with opportunities to advance through paid training. More than 90% of Shop Managers began as lube technicians. Crew members work in a customer-facing shop environment and perform routine vehicle maintenance while maintaining inventory and a clean work area. The role requires physical activity, including working in a shallow pit beneath vehicles, and may involve hot or cold weather conditions.
Requirements
- No experience required; willingness to learn, work hard, and bring a positive attitude.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow, 3-foot-deep pit to position safely under cars.
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning for extended periods.
- Must be willing to work in hot or cold weather conditions if necessary.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop.
- Must be over 18 years of age, or over 16 in Arizona, Idaho, Kansas, New Mexico, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, and Wyoming.
Responsibilities
- Drain motor oil and change oil filters.
- Wash windshields and adjust tire pressure.
- Inspect and top off fluids.
- Perform coolant exchanges.
- Restock and maintain inventory levels on the floor.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service.
