About The Position

Take 5 Oil Change is looking for customer service-oriented individuals to join their team as an Assistant Shop Manager. This role offers paid training and opportunities for rapid advancement, with over 90% of their field leaders being internal promotions. The company values a positive attitude and willingness to learn over prior experience, welcoming individuals from various backgrounds such as servers, restaurant workers, mechanics, retail employees, and landscapers. The training covers shop management, oil changes, wiper blade and air filter replacement, tire inflation, and other light maintenance services.

Requirements

Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
Ability to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit to position safely under cars.
Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods.
Ability to perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
Willingness to work in hot/cold weather conditions.
Reliable transportation to and from the shop.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service and process payments for services.
Assume the responsibility and authority of the Shop Manager in their absence.
Manage the shop floor, ensuring employees are in their assigned positions, all vehicle checks are completed, and customers are satisfied.
Perform opening and closing procedures for the shop.
Assist with inventory counts and adjustments.
Train new employees on Take 5 procedures.
Perform oil changes, oil filter changes, and other auto services.
Restock and maintain inventory levels.
Maintain cleanliness of the shop, office, and bathrooms.
